Friday Frivolity: Spring Equinox

Friday Frivolity pinnable image

Spring begins on March 20th, on the vernal equinox - when the day and night are almost exactly the same length. To celebrate, I bring you a post on lambs. More specifically, the lamb which Mary had...

Mary Had a Little Lamb

It's a lovely little poem, committed to paper by Sarah Jospeha Hale way back in 1830. But over the years many others have contributed their own verses, like this one:

Mary Had a Little Lamb - she fed it castor oil...

And the one my granddad always used to tell us:

Mary had a little lamb, her father shot it dead...

Poor Mary!
