This Week #27

Some days you have to create your own sunshine
Life this Week

This has been a super busy week! On Monday I had a scrutiny pre-meeting, then a seminar, then a secondary school governors' meeting, then food shopping... Tuesday was a joint scrutiny meeting then home to tackle the mountain of dirty laundry.

On Wednesday I had a full day of resources scrutiny, and Thursday was healthier scrutiny. I was meant to go to Labour group in the early evening but I went for a half hour lie down and woke up three hours later. Friday, I had a Police and Crime Panel meeting at Monmouthshire County Council's HQ - it's very swank, Monmouthshire isn't the wealthiest area of Wales for nothing!

After that Marianna and I went with my parents to visit my nan, because it was her birthday. My cousin was there too with her baby; there is only a couple of months betweenr that e them and they got on really well, although Marianna did steal her bottle. When we got home Anthony was on his way out so I was looking forward to putting Marianna to bed and having a night on my own.

Marianna had other ideas. She finally went to sleep at half past midnight.

I was supposed to go to Labour Womens' Forum on Saturday morning but Marianna had completely broken me. I even went for an afternoon nap and could have just slept straight through.

This Week, I 'Ave Been Mostly...

☆ READING: Mary Had a Little Lamb... it's the subject for this week's #FridayFrivolity post!

WATCHING: Thirteen. It's so good, but I'm having a hard time waiting for each episode. I'm too used to just watching series all in one go!

☆ LISTENING: Dame Rosemary Butler came into work on Monday to give a seminar on women in politics. I put together an infographic HERE.

☆ WEARING: Make-up. Every day! It's like a new me.

☆ EATING: Anthony bought me some Nerds! :D

☆ REVIEWING: N/A

  1. Wow, that does sound like a busy but productive week! Such a cute photo! I love that parents dress up their girls in super hero costumes, but are girl versions! My niece only wants to be super heroes for Halloween!

  7. Sounds like you've been going non-stop! Love the expression on Marianne's face -- she looks vaguely indignant. But the bat suit is VERY cute!!

Nerds and make-up every day sounds fun to me! ;P
