Friday Frivolity - Friday 13th

Friday Frivolity pinnable image

Today is Friday 13th! What better way to celebrate than talking about some scary movies? I love horror films. I went through a phase in my late teens where I watched almost nothing else. Gore, ghosts, demons, even Shatner speaking Esperanto. Nothing scared me.

Except...

Sadako from The Ring
My dad kept my old school sketchbook - it is full of my Ring obsession!

The Ring. リング. I slept with the light on for weeks after watching the US version for the first time, and going on to watch every adaption I could get my hands on didn't improve the situation. I tried watching it again recently and it still scared me.

So, today, just for you, I risked catching sight of the towel covered man, or the well, or - worse - the eye, to bring you some funny Ring themed items.

Because Sadako/Samara is really just your average chick. She likes baseball:

Getting her hair done:

Sadako tries Head & Shoulders

And, like so many young women, she has a crummy part time job in fast food:

Besides, it's much harder to be frightened of a vengeful dead person when they're only two inches tall...

  1. I don't like horror movies, so I haven't really seen any, but that hair meme you shared was hilarious!
