Cwmbran's Urban Buzzz

Grow Wild Wales are offering £120,000 of funding to the winning project of a public vote. Cwmbran's Urban Buzz would use that money to tell the story of Cwmbran's evolution from rural landscape to industrial heartland, while transforming the route from Northville, through the town centre, and into Southville.

I went to the launch on Tuesday morning and it was great to see people there - despite the rain - including pupils from Maendy Primary who planted bulbs in the raised planter by the subway. The subway will be completely transformed by this project if Cwmbran wins from dank, dismal litter trap to vibrant, fun walkway which would make such a difference to the lives of everyone who has to use it.
