My Guy, June 23rd 1979

My Guy magazine launched in March 1978, marketing itself as Jackie's edgier cousin. For just 16p you could get your weekly fix of boys, boys, boys. This issue has a photo stories about an evil doll, an unwanted house guest, and an over friendly friend of the family. Then there's a pin up poster of Robin Williams, a short story about ice skating, and the best advert for Lil-lets.

    I haven't read this magazine before :-( I guess my old memories are about magazines that I was able to read back home in Peru.       I love all the old magazines! I'm slowly selling off my collection though and keeping the digital files instead. I need the space! And you, I hope you have a great Christmas! :D

    I remember Jackie well! I was in Form Five then and my penpal from UK used to send me the magazines! I was also a big fan of Tiger Beat!

Simply Cook Review

I kept seeing ads and deals for Simply Cook everywhere, so as there was a special offer on at OhMyDosh! Rewards (£3 for the box and £3.50 cashback) I figured I had nothing to lose by giving it a try. What Is It? Recipe kits packed into boxes which fit through your letterbox. The usual price is £9.99 for a kit of 4, with each one serving 2-4 people depending on your serving sizes.
