Today's host theme is guilty pleasure movies. I need to say upfront that basically my entire taste in movies could fall under the 'guilty pleasure' heading - still, here are five which are guiltier pleasures than most!
#5. The Ugly Dachshund
I adored this movie as a little kid, and I fully intend to brainwash Marianna into adoring it too. It's about a Great Dane named Brutus who thinks he's a Dachshund. What's not to love??
#4. Soldier
Soldier (1998) is renowned for being one of the biggest box office flops of all times. But I loved it when I watched it for the first time as a ten year old, and I still love it now.
#3. 17 Again
My (not so) secret shame - I just dig Zac Efron.
#2. Down to the Sea in Ships
This 1949 picture is here to represent the afternoon TV movie in all its glory. Often so old it's in the public domain, always full of sentimental schlock, I can never resist!
#1. On The Buses
So very 1970s, but this 1971 big screen version of the popular LWT sitcom, is one of my all time fave films. I must have watched it every school holidays as a kid, and can still quote chunks of it verbatim!

I love Hanson - and love them even more after learning about how great they are with their fans! Plus this post gave me an excuse to make my way over to YouTube and spend an hour (or two) listening to them... :)
Now time for the new stuff!

Bloggy buddies, thanks for coming to par-tay! You are welcome to link up to three posts, and old posts are always welcome! There are three rules only:

We just watched The Ugly Dachshund a few weeks ago and loved it! I especially loved the set of their backyard - so set-like, you know?
ReplyDeleteTotally - as a kid I was convinced that was what my future garden would look like. Looking out of the window now, not so much... :)
DeleteI like your guilty pleasure list. I give myself the guilty pleasure of reading one trashy book a Summer, and it's usually written by Chelsea Handler. Thanks for hosting the linky party!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a guilty pleasure I can get behind! :)
DeleteToo funny, you and I both had the same thought on Guilty Pleasures. Love your choices.
ReplyDelete:D Thank you! x
