Now I am 5
My mum gave me a few old school books of mine she'd kept the other week, so I scanned my favourite pages in before consigning them to the great recycling bin in the sky...

I struggle to do these things now...

I vaguely remember going on a trip with my parents and brother to see an Egyptian exhibit, and my brother being told they would leave him with the mummy overnight if he wouldn't stop being naughty. I kind of hope this is the event being referenced, because otherwise I was just some weird kid who wanted to see tombs and eat cheese on toast afterwards.

In my parents' recollections I'm always yelling at my dad as a little kid, so it's good to see proof that I spread my temper around. (!)

There were a few of these weird little stories in the book - Tommy Blue Tit featured prominently in one, and Moses in another. (It is not ours to question the teaching methods of the early 90s.) This one just edged its way into favourite position because of the 'secret life'. :D

The excitement, it never ended!
Oh wow love these! It's like I can see the start of your blogging already! :) And I love the teacher's (or is it your mam?) comments!!
ReplyDeleteHehe, I know - the teacher must have had a sense of humour. (Well, they'd need it!)
DeleteI love these. My mum had a clear out not long ago and found lots of mine. I wrote about going to a party and dancing and my mum being drunk! Thanks for linking up to #FridayFrolics
ReplyDeleteSome of the entries are just so random - and the accompanying illustrations even more so!
