Caketoppers Ltd Review

Today it is my birthday! So what better day is there to post a review of cake. Personalised cupcakes, to be exact.

About Caketoppers

Caketoppers Limited bill themselves as the personalised cake delivery experts, and they're not exaggerating! Established in 2002, they were the first company in the UK to offer printed edible cake decorations online. Anything you can print on a normal printer, Caketoppers Limited can print onto icing for you.

In addition to cupcakes, Caketoppers offer full size cakes for all kinds of occasions, as well as bulk orders for parties and corporate events. Delivery charges range from £1.95 to £5.95, with next day delivery as standard if you order before 2pm (or 12pm on a Friday). Cakes are guaranteed to stay fresh for a minimum of five days from despatch, and the icing at its best for two weeks.

Our Caketoppers Experience

Caketoppers got in touch with me to ask if I'd like to try out a couple of their personalised cupcakes (prices normally start at £12.99 for six). Loving cake as I do, of course said yes! :) I sent across two photographs as requested and waited for the cake to arrive:

A couple of days later a package arrived in the post:

The icing printing was really impressive, with crisp, clear images, and I couldn't wait to give them a taste test. It was so cool to see my blog logo on a cake, and the vanilla sponge it covered was lovely and moist, with plenty of buttercream and icing. Bracken's photo cake was the most gorgeous chocolate sponge. Seriously, it was so tasty!

Anthony and Marianna shared the cakes with me, and completely agreed. Marianna especially liked the chocolate one - at least if the mess she got in was any indication. :)

Simply Cook Review

I kept seeing ads and deals for Simply Cook everywhere, so as there was a special offer on at OhMyDosh! Rewards (£3 for the box and £3.50 cashback) I figured I had nothing to lose by giving it a try. What Is It? Recipe kits packed into boxes which fit through your letterbox. The usual price is £9.99 for a kit of 4, with each one serving 2-4 people depending on your serving sizes. All you need to do is buy the fresh ingredients required and follow the instructions. Here is Simply Cook's own helpful diagram: Does It Work? For me, as the person just eating it, it was awesome.
