Happy Birthday with Party Bags and Supplies

Happy Birthday Marianna

Marianna turned two yesterday! I don't know where the time has gone, it feels like it's only been a few weeks since we were at the hospital, staring at her through the incubator. Now she's walking and talking and has her own independent personality. I'm so proud of everything she has achieved already. In a year of darkness and misery, Marianna was our shining star in 2016. This is possibly the cheesiest thing I've ever written, but I'm sure she will only shine brighter in 2017!

Buffet Table

Anyway, to celebrate her birthday we had a little tea party yesterday with lots of family and lots of food. Being the household of sci-fi geeks that we are, I was excited to bust out the Star Wars partyware we were sent to review by Party Bags and Supplies. The pack is for a party of eight and includes a tablecloth, 8 cups, 8 plates, 20 napkins, and 8 party bags.

Star Wars Party Bags

Marianna has been given no choice but to love Star Wars, so was very impressed to see the table all laid out ready for the party. Her favourite bits were the seriously cool stormtrooper napkins and, of course, the party bags. They all contained a little pack of Haribo Tangtastics, a 'Finger Fright' (those little rubber finger monsters!), a space fact card, and - best of all - an inflatable lightsaber. Party Bags and Supplies offer a huge range of pre-filled party bags starting from just £1, along with all the necessary bits and pieces to put your own together - check out their party bags and fillers.

In fact, everybody was pretty taken with the inflatable lightsabers, and an epic battle commenced between Marianna, Anthony and his dad. Who knew that Snow White was so well versed in the ways of the force? All in all, we had a really great day, Marianna had lots of fun, and we want to say a big thank-you to Party Bags and Supplies for helping to make it extra special. :)

Simply Cook Review

I kept seeing ads and deals for Simply Cook everywhere, so as there was a special offer on at OhMyDosh! Rewards (£3 for the box and £3.50 cashback) I figured I had nothing to lose by giving it a try. What Is It? Recipe kits packed into boxes which fit through your letterbox. The usual price is £9.99 for a kit of 4, with each one serving 2-4 people depending on your serving sizes. All you need to do is buy the fresh ingredients required and follow the instructions. Here is Simply Cook's own helpful diagram: Does It Work? For me, as the person just eating it, it was awesome. Everything tasted great - the mushroom penne in particular was so good I went back for seconds - and I liked that the sauces weren't as rich as Anthony would usually make them. For Anthony, who cooked them, they weren't as impressive. He complained that the food was bland and that it was actually quite a lot of faff, as Lidl didn't stock everything we needed which meant another trip ou
