Mister Maker Box Review

Mister Maker Subscription Box - try it free with code JESSICA-EG0E

Continuing with our quest for the perfect subscription box, this week we tried out the Toucan Box sub-line, Mister Maker Club. Based on the CBeebies show - we've never seen it, but that wasn't an obstacle! - these craft boxes are aimed at younger children, and are sent out every two weeks with materials, instructions, activity book, and stickers.

Marianna loved that the box was personalised; she can recognise her own name now so got really excited at the sight of it. I really liked that the main craft, a clown mask, was something she was able to do with the bare minimum of help from me. There was also a simple hoop toss game to construct, and a picture frame to cut out from the back of the box.

As a fortnightly treat I felt that the price was about right - £5.95 + 98p postage. You could get the component parts for less, no doubt, but the presentation was good, and the excitement of getting a box through the post was a big draw for Marianna. Overall it gets a thumbs up from us!
