I heard about this through Latest Deals' freebie listings, but I'm so impressed with the concept I thought it deserved a write up. Basically, you trade in clothing your kids have outgrown for credits, then use those credits to buy new (to you!) pre-owned stuff to replace it. Or, as Treasure House themselves explain it:

This is such a fab idea on a number of levels. First, it's great for sustainability and fighting back against 'fast fashion'. And secondly it allows you to do that even on a tight budget because, as we all know, better clothes last longer - but you've got to have the cash for the initial outlay to be able to benefit from the fact! They will accept clothing (no shoes, undies or pyjamas) from any brand, but their stringent quality checks mean worn Primarni is less likely to pass muster than some of its rivals.

New customers - and this was how Treasure House got on to my radar - can pick any item under £15 as a free gift, and only have to pay the postage charge of £3.99. [Update: new customer offer is now 25% discount.] I chose a pretty Simonetta dress in age 5/6 that was priced at £10. Marianna loves it and it's gorgeous quality, but there is no way I could have justified splashing out the original tag price of £200+.

So, what are you waiting for? Go grab a bargain of your own at Treasure House! :)
