My Top Ten tracks of the month!
One Foot - Walk The Moon (2017)
Walk The Moon are one of my fave bands of the last few years, and this is just about my favourite track.
Waterloo - ABBA (1974)
Marianna's ABBA obsession continues unabated...
Firestarter - The Prodigy (1996)
Keith Flint, RIP.
Hero - donkeyboy (2014)
I love donkeyboy. End of story.
Two Princes - Spin Doctors (1993)
The Spin Doctors peaked at #3 in the UK with this one, though they did hit the top spot in Sweden.
Teenage Dirtbag - Wheatus (2000)
Nostalgia central. Wheatus hit #2 in the UK with this, being kept off the top spot by Atomic Kitten...
Tom Hark - The Piranhas (1980)
Tom Hark was first recorded and released by Elias and His Zig-Zag Jive Flutes in 1958, when it reached #2 in the UK chart. It had been covered at least half a dozen times before ska-punk band The Piranhas gave it their own twist in 1980.
Cupid's Chokehold - Gym Class Heroes (2005)
It can't compete with Supertramp, true, but it's still a fun song.
Stayin' Alive - Bee Gees (1977)
Or, as Marianna calls it, 'the crossing the road song' thanks to the Staying Alive hedgehogs. :)
Disco Duck - Rick Dees and His Cast of Idiots (1976)
The only thing better than disco is novelty disco. Right? The UK public certainly thought so at least; Disco Duck peaked at #6 in the UK charts in 1976.
