#FAILFIX Dolls

Moose Toys Fail Fix Dolls

Moose Toys new #FAILFIX doll line has hit retailers! Don't get me wrong, I'm as much of a sucker for blind boxing as the next collector - but it is good to see somebody other than Mattel attempting to be more innovative with their playline dolls.

The concept isn't perfect: why are girls always being told they have to fix themselves? Rock whatever look you like. And they haven't dropped the blind box element entirely; the website blurb says you might find a rare or ultra-rare outfit or make-up look. But it is something different and I like the explicit focus on hairplay and redressing. I'm looking forward to seeing some in hand reviews on how well the 'fix' features work. :)

You can pick them up now at Argos for £20 each.

  1. I personally like the concept. I'm a adult doll collector, I don't really look too far into things because I'm not a mother at the moment but in my honest opinion it's just saying people don't wake up out of bed & go out & start their day without at least making themselves presentable. Besides it's a fun new doll line, anything to "try" and keep kids off of their iPhones and be "kids". Just my personal opinion.
    Have a nice day! (:

    1. Yeah, I agree, it's a unique idea and seems like a lot of fun. No concept is perfect though and if I was going to level a criticism at them, that would be it.

  2. It's not that they have to fix themselves, it's literally that they've been trying to follow an online makeup tutorial or similar for a certain event and messed it up badly, so it's up to you to redo it ;)
The main issue is that the design on the dress for Kawaii.Qtee (purple hair) is literally stolen artwork belonging to artist MissKika, which was used without her knowledge or permission. Moose was quick to address this, but they were already on shelves by the time the artist was alerted to this, so I will be waiting until the next shipment where they have been fixed until I will be purchasing, as I still wish to support Garrett Sander's work.

Simply Cook Review

I kept seeing ads and deals for Simply Cook everywhere, so as there was a special offer on at OhMyDosh! Rewards (£3 for the box and £3.50 cashback) I figured I had nothing to lose by giving it a try. What Is It? Recipe kits packed into boxes which fit through your letterbox. The usual price is £9.99 for a kit of 4, with each one serving 2-4 people depending on your serving sizes. All you need to do is buy the fresh ingredients required and follow the instructions. Here is Simply Cook's own helpful diagram: Does It Work? For me, as the person just eating it, it was awesome. Everything tasted great - the mushroom penne in particular was so good I went back for seconds - and I liked that the sauces weren't as rich as Anthony would usually make them. For Anthony, who cooked them, they weren't as impressive. He complained that the food was bland and that it was actually quite a lot of faff, as Lidl didn't stock everything we needed which meant another trip ou
