LOVELOX Review and Giveaway!

LOVELOX is a British jewellery brand specialising in handmade personalised lockets, crafted from precious metals and natural diamonds. I was recently given the chance to try one out for review - so here are my findings!

The brand offers a wide range of locket designs, with something for every taste from the traditional to the ultra modern. Whichever one you go for, however, the simple design process remains the same. First you pick the design, then you choose an engraved message (if you want to), and then you upload your photographs.

It really is as easy as 1, 2, 3!

LOVELOX personalisation process

As lockets make such perfect gifts, I decided I would get one personalised for my mother-in-law's upcoming birthday, as a present from Marianna. After hitting up Pinterest for ideas for some suitably cheesy message - I went with 'In My Heart' (because the locket is heart shaped, geddit?) - and moved on to the photographs.

I was a little worried how they would look because, well, finding a recent photograph of Marianna smiling at the camera is hard enough, and the only pics I have of my niece are from Facebook. The preview function was really helpful though, allowing you to zoom in and focus on faces.

The only thing left to do was choose a chain length, 16/18 inches or 20/22/24 inches, and input my delivery details.

I loved that you could download the preview image (above) after ordering, so I could simply show Anthony how it was going to look rather than try and describe it. Not that it was a long wait between ordering and receiving; I was super impressed with the delivery time.

The presentation is lovely, especially if you're giving the locket as a present, and the box has a nice weight and quality feel to it. The locket itself is beautiful, and the photo quality is excellent. LOVELOX gets a definite thumbs up from us!

Simply Cook Review

I kept seeing ads and deals for Simply Cook everywhere, so as there was a special offer on at OhMyDosh! Rewards (£3 for the box and £3.50 cashback) I figured I had nothing to lose by giving it a try. What Is It? Recipe kits packed into boxes which fit through your letterbox. The usual price is £9.99 for a kit of 4, with each one serving 2-4 people depending on your serving sizes. All you need to do is buy the fresh ingredients required and follow the instructions. Here is Simply Cook's own helpful diagram: Does It Work? For me, as the person just eating it, it was awesome. Everything tasted great - the mushroom penne in particular was so good I went back for seconds - and I liked that the sauces weren't as rich as Anthony would usually make them. For Anthony, who cooked them, they weren't as impressive. He complained that the food was bland and that it was actually quite a lot of faff, as Lidl didn't stock everything we needed which meant another trip ou
