Flexipop Magazine Guide

A while ago I had the idea of making a miniature newsagents and began saving pics of vintage magazines. Now I just have way too many photos doing nothing. So, hey, I figured I'd use them along with my own scans to make some teen magazine guides. For this first formatting practice guide I wanted a magazine that is well documented and didn't have too many issues... hence Flexipop!

I haven't got any copies of the actual magazine now, just a few of the flexis, but it was a monthly publications that ran for 33 issues from December 1980 to August 1983. There is a really informative website written by the original team behind it, along with a book charting its history.

Simply Cook Review

I kept seeing ads and deals for Simply Cook everywhere, so as there was a special offer on at OhMyDosh! Rewards (£3 for the box and £3.50 cashback) I figured I had nothing to lose by giving it a try. What Is It? Recipe kits packed into boxes which fit through your letterbox. The usual price is £9.99 for a kit of 4, with each one serving 2-4 people depending on your serving sizes. For Anthony, who cooked them, they weren't as impressive. He complained that the food was bland and that it was actually quite a lot of faff, as Lidl didn't stock everything we needed which meant another trip ou
