Jakks Pacific launched the short lived - heh - Zombie Girls line in 2013. They were an attempt to compete with the popular Monster High dolls, with similar body proportions and articulation at knees, elbows, and wrists. They stood 11.5 inches tall and had rooted hair.

The whole premise was pretty morbid, right down to the tombstone doll stands complete with the death dates of each girl. Perfect for the horror fan but probably not quite as suitable for the intended audience. The dolls didn't sell well and can still be bought new via Amazon and other outlets.

Kuu Kuu Harajuku is an Australian made cartoon that launched in 2015, based on a pitch from Gwen Stefani and her somewhat controversial 'Harajuku Girls'. The show sees Stefani's Harajuku Lovers brand brought to life, following the exploits of teen girl band HJ5 - consisting of Angel, Baby, Love, Music and G - and their friends and enemies.

Mattel launched a tie in range of merchandise in 2017, including a debut wave of fashion dolls and separate fashion packs. With 11 points of articulation, the dolls stand 10 inches tall and have rooted hair and screened faces. A second wave of dolls and a concert stage playset followed in 2018, although the articulation was now missing.
