Monzo came to my rescue a couple of years ago when my daughter wanted her own bank account to manage her pocket money. Though there were other kids' accounts available - Go Henry and the like - Monzo easily trumped them by being 100% free. It trumped the other options then available by having a lower age limit too, 5 - 15, rather than being restricted to the over 11s. You just set up your own account, a simple online process, then you set up a linked child's account.
Now every week I transfer her pocket money and she can shop in store using her debit card, withdraw money from ATMs, and even shop online. At first she mostly used this for Roblox, but soon began to branch out.
It has given her a real sense of independence, especially being able to buy things online and get them delivered. (You can set the account up so you have to approve payments if your child isn't quite ready to be let loose in this regard!)
