CPC Attack Magazine

CPC Attack was a shortlived successor to Amstrad Computer User, launched in June 1992. It lasted just six monthly issues before folding.

EMAP launched this monthly music title in April 2001, focusing on the nu-metal scene and extreme sports. Edited by former Q journalist Ben Mitchell the first issue had a print run of 60,000 in the UK and 20,000 overseas, aiming for a circulation figure of around 35,000. After just four issues EMAP pulled the plug.

Dave Henderson, then rock managing director, said: "Emap Performance is committed to new magazine launches, but only when the product is right for the market. Initial sales levels of Kingsize haven't held up. While we still feel there is an audience for such a magazine, as Kingsize evolved we realised that its positioning and content were some distance from the potential audience."

Kill Your Pet Puppy Fanzine

Kill Your Pet Puppy was a UK punk zine that ran for six issues between 1979 and 1984. It was edited by Tony Drayton - of Ripped and Torn fame - and pushed the boundaries of punk through a period which saw the birth of anarcho-punk and the beginnings of the goth subculture. The Games Machine Magazine

Newsfield launched The Games Machine in October 1987. Initially relatively successful, a translated version launched in Italy and eventually became one of the country's top selling games magazines. Back in the UK however, profits fell and the title folded in September 1990 after 34 issues.
