Life in Plastic - 10/07/2022
What a week it's been! Westminster politics has been a non-stop whirlwind of disaster, and I finally managed to binge watch the new Obi Wan Kenobi series. If you haven't seen it yet, it's 100% awesome. I definitely recommend. Black Series have already announced various figures, including a badass looking Reva, but I'm still holding out for a baby!Leia. 1/12 child figures are always in short supply.

I usually rebody my Black Series heads onto bare action figure bodies but, as ever, the lack of dark skinned models is proving very frustrating. Damtoys do a male body now, but I still haven't seen anywhere with a black female body. (Heidi Ott used to do one but they go for stupid money these days.) *sigh*
Trawling the net did reveal some cool 1/12 upcoming releases though. Phicen have an August release date slated for their new 'plump' female bodies, complete with a bunch of new head sculpts in realistic and anime styles.

I've spent the last few weeks (misguidedly) attempting to Konmari the house so I've been very quiet on the doll front. The end is now finally in sight however and you can expect some major updates to the shop this week. I've got loads of Barbie and Sindy clothing to list, and a whole bunch of new handmade items.
~ REFERRAL CODE SPOTLIGHT ~
We all know that miniatures do not come with a miniature price tag, so I figured a set feature of my revamped weekly round up would be a spotlight on one of the many GPT (get paid to) and referral schemes available as collating them is something of a hobby of mine. Most of them are honestly kind of underwhelming but there are still plenty that will allow you to pick up some free cash or make some really easy savings.
This week we have Chip savings app which is offering £10 to all new customers who sign up with a referral code (mine is CHIP-UBK471). You need to download the app, create an account, and link your bank account with a deposit of £1. Make sure you turn off the automatic savings option or it will try and do what the app is created for and take money from your current account to create a savings pot.
Unusually for a bank app, you don't need to submit ID or anything so, once you've completed those steps, you just have to wait 30 days for your £10. As soon as you get it you can withdraw the £10 - plus your initial £1 deposit - and either close the account, or recruit some new customers to receive another £10 per referral. :)
