The first band I ever went to see was The Spice Girls, at Wembley Stadium during the last tour they did before they split. The support acts were Cleopatra and an Abba tribute act. What can I say? It was the 90s. Other more, er, embarrassing acts I've seen include Phixx, Matt Goss, V, and McFly, mostly courtesy of Party in the Park.
The band I was most pleased to see - at the time, at any rate - was Green Day. They were my favourite band as a teenager! I've been to see plenty of punk-pop type acts in my time, like Sum 41, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Alkaline Trio, The Automatic, Feeder, My Vitriol, Jesse James, [Spunge], Fandangle, Less Than Jake, Reel Big Fish, Random Hand, and Suburban Legends. More old school acts include The Specials, Iggy Pop, and Billy Bragg.
The last non-local band I went to see was Bowling for Soup (supported by Patent Pending) with my brother during their 2013 Farewell UK Tour. They were actually really good and helped justify the fact I have near enough their entire back catalogue!
What is the best (or worst!) band you've been to see?
