I had loads of great plans for this week but everyone - bar Marianna, thankfully! - has had a sickness bug so, actually, it's been a major accomplishment just to get through the basics. I made some doll jewellery for the shop but that was about the extent of it.

I've gone back to watching old movies in the afternoons - The Whole Town's Talking (1935) and Little Lord Fauntleroy (1936). It was the first time I'd seen this version (it's the one with Freddie Bartholomew) and it didn't matter how saccharine and obvious it was. I cried just the same! My favourite this week was Scandal Sheet (1952), about a tabloid newspaper editor with a skeleton in his closet...
