Azone Pure Neemo Life in Plastic

No exciting news this week. Struggling to think of anything even mildly interesting... My phone contract was finally up so I switched to Tesco Mobile and got an iphone 14. I'd been using my iphone 7 since 2017 so it feels very fancy in comparison!

Also picked up some glow in the dark PLA so have been busy printing some Halloween miniatures ready for October. We're going on holiday next week so I'll probably list all the Halloween stuff when I get back. I've got an old Sylvanian Families house I want to do up for the Pose Skeletons, so doubtless there will be posts about that too.

On the blog I posted guides to B-Kind Dolls and Showtime Magazine, plus a referral code for Mozillion and the 2002 Barbie annual.

Media of the Week

I watched that BBC Wales Paranormal documentary - The Girl, the Ghost, and the Gravestone - with Sian Eleri. It was really well done for the genre, but I've gotta confess that I was kind of disappointed that it turned out to be Penyffordd Farm. I actually do believe some weird shit went down there, but 'most haunted house in Wales'? Meh. I think it was the researcher for S2 of that I spoke to about Welsh UFOs a couple of months back; based on S1 it should be an enjoyable watch if nothing else.

I also watched Gaia: Death on Dancing Ledge (so so depressing, the police officers involved ought to have been booted from the service) and The Long Call (extremely watchable, recommend!). I would have watched Dispatches but couldn't get C4 to work at my parents'...

(At home it has just been another week of Sniperwolf and random Roblox Youtubers. Sigh.)

Zeke Faux's new book on crypto - Number Go Up - was out this week so I read that and was very impressed, it's really well put together. Ever since I finished Easy Money last week I've been looking into Christopher Harborne, the guy who owned 13% of Tether and donated £13.6 million to the Brexit Party. So far it's just been all the typical British chumocracy stuff you'd expect - like, I've seen a few outlets report he donated £500k to INSEAD business school, but he's also a Wilkins fellow at Downing. He set up a hedge fund with David Robinson, the brother of George of Sloane Robinson, and Charles Horner, brother-in-law of Toby Courtauld of GPE (they own like £2.6 billion worth of London real estate). His son is the CEO of Rhino.fi and they're both linked with the DCGG (crypto lobbyists), run by Francesca Salierno - former assistant to UKIP's Roger Helmer alongside Paul Oakden, chief exec of the Brexit Party (/ Reform UK / whatever they're calling it now)...

Few worlds are as small as UK politics.
