I'm not even going to talk about the welfare announcement because, well, if you've nothing nice to say and all that. Let's just say I never thought I'd have to witness a Labour government advocating pushing harder and faster on welfare cuts than either the Tories or Reform. It's cold validation of my decision to leave the party, I guess. :/
Anyway, on to less rage inducing things. This week my dad recommended The Telepathy Tapes to me. I very rarely listen to podcasts because, to be honest, I find it hard to absorb audio only information. Even when watching TV I usually have the subtitles on because I just find it easier to read than to listen. But, I gave it a go, and I'm really glad I did.
Essentially it documents the growing body of research into telepathy and shared consciousness among non-verbal and minimally-verbal autistic individuals. I've stalled on it lately, but this is very relevant to my own endless research project into 'weird' phenomena and how it follows individuals and their families. E.g. somebody reports a UFO sighting, then when you look into it further they have a family history of ghost sightings, or ESP, or NDE (Near Death Experience), etc, etc, etc, though they might not know of it at the time of their experience.
Whether or not you buy into the podcast's wider conclusions, there are definitely some interesting individual cases explored.
Meanwhile I've been busy as ever with work stuff: new products on etsy include horror video covers, plus Kate Greenaway and some art nouveau colouring pages.
Shop-wise, this week has been all about 3D printing and earrings. I make quite a wide range of earrings but, for some reason, the best sellers are always wooden bees...
We took Marianna to the fair on Friday - and I even went on a ride myself! I'm still not sure if I enjoyed it or not. xD
Finally, on the blog I posted some 1990s Steffi Love catalogues, the 1982 Rainbow annual, and Sindy Magazine #14.
