This Week #1

Challenge is a dragon with a gift in its mouth. Tame the dragon and the gift is yours.

I quite like the idea of having a post recording what's been happening in the week, and have been thinking about starting one for a while. I suppose it fits the traditional idea of what a blog is all about - an online diary. Alice Megan has a really nice layout for the kind of thing I've been wanting to do over on her blog (see HERE), so I've based mine on that and will tweak it as I go.

It's been a pretty uneventful week, to be honest. My brother passed on some of his germs and left me with a stinking cold, Anthony insisted on re-watching Gavin & Stacey for roughly the 3000th time, and Marianna put her new ability to clap her hands to good use. Hopefully next week will be more exciting!

Marianna just loves cardboard boxes.

☆ READING: Outlander...

☆ WRITING: Ripper related True Crime posts. Find My Past had a free weekend so I made the most of the opportunity to try and confirm Kitty Roman's name. I'll be posting that one next week, for now check out The Willful Murder of Eliza Roberts (1898).

WATCHING: Broadwalk Empire. Anthony has the first series on DVD - so far I'm loving it.

☆ LISTENING: Nickelback. I never understand why the internet hates them so much. If sticking to the same formula was a musical crime, the charts would be empty.

☆ WEARING: Pyjamas!

☆ EATING: Three cheese spread sandwiches. Nothing new there.

☆ FEELING: Ill. :(

I posted my review of Funky Giraffe bibs - if you like the look of them, I'm running a giveaway to win a pack of 10 worth £20. Check it out HERE. My giveaway for a copy of Di Coke's brilliant 'SuperLucky Secrets: 100 tips for winning competitions, contests and sweepstakes' is also still running HERE. The lovely Serenata Flowers contacted me this week to ask if I'd like to review and host a giveaway for one of their hampers too. Keep an eye out for that post!

In the world of miniatures, I posted a guide to 1/6 scale laundry items (washing machines, rotary lines, and more), and a review of The Dolls House Store. Anthony has set up his own blog too: The Man Down My Local, AKA The Repository of All Political Knowledge. Read more HERE.
